Napoli hopes to reach an agreement with Brighton and Hove Albion for Billy Gilmour on Wednesday, securing him in a €15 million deal.
According to Sky Sport Italia, the discussions advanced today, and they are now focusing on the final details of the agreement.
Importantly, the player has agreed to personal terms for a contract worth about €2 million per season and is excited to work with Antonio Conte in Italy.
Gilmour is eager to join Napoli.
Brighton is prepared to accept the €12 million plus €3 million in add-ons to sell the Scotland international.
The Partenopei are confident that most of the work is done and that they can arrange Gilmour’s medical starting tomorrow.
The midfielder turned 23 in June and has been with the youth academies of Glasgow Rangers and Chelsea.
He had a loan spell at Norwich in 2021-22 before his €8.3 million transfer to Brighton and Hove Albion that summer.
He already has 30 senior caps for Scotland and has scored one goal.
