Jurgen Klopp believes Arne Slot will do well at Liverpool.

The German shared that he has been in contact with the new coach.

Former Liverpool coach Jürgen Klopp is supporting new manager Arne Slot to do well with the Reds. Klopp mentioned that he was glad when the Dutchman was chosen as his replacement.

Klopp joined Liverpool in 2015 after Brendan Rodgers was fired, and soon became a club hero by helping them win their first Premier League title since 1990.

During Klopp’s time in charge, Liverpool won the UEFA Champions League, Premier League, Carabao Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, FA Cup, League Cup, UEFA Super Cup, and FA Community Shield.

“Arne, yeah. Really good coach,” Klopp told ESPN Netherlands. “I was really happy when I heard that Liverpool picked Arne Slot. I wasn’t involved in the decision, and I’m not the type to stay behind the scenes, pulling strings. I don’t want that. The club is too big, too good, and the people are too good for that.

“A lot has changed since we left. But my only worry was whether they would get a good coach. Liverpool acted quickly and got a top choice in Arne Slot.

“I really like his way of playing football, especially how he did it with Feyenoord. That’s really good. I watched the pre-season friendly against Sevilla at Anfield — many parts of it were really good. And the league game against Ipswich, the second half was clearly impressive.

“But it’s not about whether I like it. You can see he’s a very good coach, and the team, which I know better than most, is a really good group of players. So, it’ll work out really well.”
