Real Madrid will face Chelsea in their final pre-season game in the United States.
Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti disclosed that Jude Bellingham didn’t answer his call, which left him somewhat annoyed ahead of Los Blancos’ final pre-season friendly against Chelsea.
Madrid lost both of their pre-season matches—against AC Milan and Barcelona—and will now face Chelsea in their last game before taking on Atlanta in the UEFA Super Cup on August 14.The Whites are currently missing some key players—namely Fede Valverde, Dani Carvajal, Aurelien Tchouameni, Kylian Mbappe, Eduardo Camavinga, Ferland Mendy, and Jude Bellingham—but the Italian confirmed he is in contact with them.
“I’m in touch with them,” Ancelotti confirmed.
“But yesterday I was annoyed with Bellingham because he didn’t answer my call. I told Vinicius to call him, and he answered immediately. Vinicius handed me the phone, and I was able to talk to him. So be careful,” the Italian added with a laugh. For the match against Atlanta, Ancelotti confirmed that the team that played in the UEFA Champions League final against Borussia Dortmund is likely to play in the Super Cup as well.
Madrid lost two of their players, Nacho Fernandez and Toni Kroos, while they added Kylian Mbappe and Endrick to their squad.
“The only thing missing is two players, Nacho and [Toni] Kroos. With the squad we have, we can compete in all competitions. If the calendar demands it, we have a sufficient squad for all competitions,” Ancelotti emphasized. The Italian then asked for patience with Endrick, noting that he is young and just came to Europe this year, comparing his situation to Arda Guler, who arrived in Madrid last year.
“He has shown great quality and talent, but like Arda [Guler] last year, you don’t need to put pressure on the youngsters. He has talent but also pressure. He is a player loved all over the world, especially in Brazil, but we have to be patient,” Ancelotti said.
